The layout of the ADDS 2030 is unique to this keyboard.
This keyboard is for the ADDS 2030 terminal under the ADDS Viewpoint terminals. The ADDS 1010 was the cheapest in the ADDS Viewpoint lineup.
The ADDS 2030 includes the following:
Switches
Keycaps
Upper Case
Mounting Plate
PCB
Back Plate
Cable
The keycaps are made out of PBT with dye-sublimated legends.
The keycaps for this keyboard use a medium ass enter key which is found only on a few terminal keyboards that NMB made. Also included on this keyboard is the rather strange arrangement of arrow keys. These arrow keys have very large arrows and a unique colourway for the legend.Â
The upper case is made out of a single piece of beige ABS plastic. The plastic is textured due to the molding process that is used to create the upper case.
The lower case is molded from the same ABS plastic as the upper case. A set of slots are located in the lower case that join the two halves together. The feet that are integrated into the lower case are flush with the lower case when retracted.
The switch plate is made out of stamped steel. The plate is bent on either so that it can be mounted to the lower case. The plate is painted with a thin layer of black paint. The paint is then protected by a thin layer of oil to prevent rust.
The PCB is a double-sided PCB with all traces on the backside of the PCB. The controllers found on the PCB vary, some later models have been found with both Toshiba and Mitsubishi controllers.
This keyboard uses a RJ11 jack.
