Memorex PC122

Overview

This keyboard was OEMed for Memorex.

This keyboard was produced for Memorex systems. Memorex keyboards are completely different compared to their other PC122 counterparts. All Memorex keyboards include a single foot that allows the keyboard to be adjusted to a different angle.

Switches

The Memorex PC122 is one of the only keyboards that guarantees that it will contain clicky LED switches.

Keycaps

The keycaps are made out of PBT with dye-sublimated legends. These keycaps are unique to this keyboard as they use a different font and unique colorway. The keycaps can be found in two different versions. One with normal legends and another one with terminal-like legends.

The keyboard with terminal-like legends also has front-facing legends that describe other operations that can be performed with the keys. This keyboard uses a 6u spacebar and 1.75 mods. This spacebar length has only been sighted on this keyboard.

The sides of the keycaps can be found in two different versions. The earlier keycap version is shiny like NMB 3rd generation keyboards and older whereas later versions of this keyboard can be found with matte sides to the keycaps.
Upper Case

The upper case is made out of a single piece of beige ABS plastic. The plastic is textured due to the molding process that is used to create the upper case.

Lower Case

The cases is made out of a single piece of beige ABS plastic. The plastic is textured due to the molding process that is used to create the lower case. The lower case foot this foot can be adjusted to another angle for a different typing angle. The foot has numbers marked on each notch that the single foot can lock into that tells the user what angle the keyboard would be at if set at the said notch.

Switch Plate

The switch plate is made out of stamped steel and coated in black paint. The plate extends further than usual as the plate locks into the bottom case. Additionally, there are holes where pegs that extend from the bottom-case go through the plate to center and secure the plate in the case.
PCB

The PCB is a double-sided PCB with all traces on the backside of the PCB. The controllers found on the PCB vary, some later models have been found with both Toshiba and Mitsubishi controllers.

Cable

The cable is a long coiled cable about 2 meters long when fully stretched. The cable terminates on one end with a 5 pin din connector and the other end with a 6 pin molex connector.
