Varitronics Typestyler

Overview

The Varitronics TypeStyler is an advanced typewriter. The TypeStyler allows a user to make additional graphics including graphs, borders, and plots. Additionally, the page layout can be configured with columns and margins. The Typestyler allows the user to configure all the options of the page via an LCD display where all the options are configured in a single line.

The layout is unique to this keyboard where the big ass enter and the function keys are north of the arrow cluster. The keycaps are made out of PBT with dye-sublimated legends while the colorway of the keycaps are unique to the TypeStyler. The top row of the TypeStyler uses specially profiled keycaps which are flat on the top. These are the only keycaps produced by NMB that differ from the standard NMB profile that is used on all keyboards. These keycaps still obtain the clips that all NMB keycaps have after the First Generation.

Switch Plate

The switch plate is made out of stamped steel.

PCB

The PCB is a double-sided PCB with all traces on the backside of the PCB. There is a 10 pin Molex connector that connects the keyboard to the rest of the TypeStyler.
