Alps SKCM Brown Prototype
Overview
These switches are the precursor to SKCM Brown Alps. The are different in every way and internals are not compatible with the later SKCM Brown Alps. Each section will so go over the differences with respects to the Prototype switches vs the later production SKCM Brown.

Like the top housing is also asymmetrical. One side of the slider is smaller than the res as The stem where the spring interacts with the slider is more recessed as the center stem needs to be shorter to accommodate the longer pole that is located in the bottom housing.

These are the same as early Alps switches that contain a Black Switch plate.

Fake Switch Plate
This switch plate is not the same as the later SKCM Brown. The fake switch plate is smaller as the inner walls that hold the fake switch plate are thicker than the later SKCM Brown switch.Â
